SOCIAL MEDIA WEEK EVENT (Highlights)

Hello fairies, how is the week coming for you……………….awesome! Be expectant do not give up.
This week has been so eventful for most entrepreneurs, business minds, artiste, #SMWLagos was in town. I was  unable to go for any of the scheduled event, though I am so going for the BEAUTY UNMASKED presented by My Makeup, Bella Naija and Ndani Tv at Hub @ Terra Kulture, Plot 1376, Tiamiyu Savage Off Ahmadu Bello Way, Victoria Island, Lagos. Time is 4:30pm – 5:30pm
(if you registered online or 15,000 for VIP)

Now why I am excited about this event is I am happy they have been able to make the attendance free *lool* so no excuse for low-income entrepreneurs if I should say (ticket fee), talk about pressing topics of SMEs, blogging, and the growth of one’s business.

Now these where a few points from all I could gather from various tweets by @SmwLagos, so please in no particular order, read through, note the ones that affects you, work on it and improve your ‘business voice’

  • Social media is a relationship, like dating, planning which is everything. It’s about awareness
  • Social media is the new movement. Creates an interaction  with your followers and how they feel about your product/brand
  • Are you part of those who open a social media account with no idea of what you want to do?
  • Most important step is the beginning. Young people should step out from their comfort zones
  • Show your clients that they need your business and idea
  • ·  With social media you have access to millions of people
  • Have you asked yourself what makes you different OR what does your business or brand have to offer
  • Give your customers rewards for brand loyalty
  • Understand your clients and get them interested in you (your band and blog)
  • If you stay away from your fans for too long they would forget about you. You need to constantly interact
  • Online Reputation Management is defined as listen to feedbacks, access negativity and deliberate on an in appropriate reaction.
  • Be accessible to your clients
  • Use sample tools like videos and youtube to start, be creative with you content and create a niche
  • Packaging is important, it needs to tell a story……………………………

This is where I’d draw the curtain today, check back in our subsequent posts for fabulous points discussed during this event #SmwBlogging #SmwMusicAfrica #NokiaEdu #SmwLagos #SmwPowerofBeauty
